04/12/15 Sony Alpha A7s - Voigtlaender Skopar 35 f2.51382
ILCE-7S Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/100 sec ISO: 200 04/11/15 Sony Alpha A7s - Voigtlaender Skopar 35 f2.5By modern standards, these Voigtlaender lenses can't be classed as expensive especially the Skopars. These can be had for a few hundred $/€ depending on where you live. Presently I own the 35 and 50 f2.5 lenses and both perform well. As I've stated before I don't use either on the A7 / A7r comeras but they fee quite at home on the A7s and perform best on APS-C or M43 sensors.
What attracts me to these lenses? Well it's just their signature and is not restricted to the Skopar series. I like using all of the Voigtlaender lenses and I do own quite a few of them. If you haven't tried one of these lenses before, why not just rent one for a few days if you can, you'll be pleasently surprised I'm sure. 1410

ILCE-7S Focal Length: unknown Aperture: f/1.0 Exposure Time: 1/80 sec ISO: 320 04/08/15 Fujifilm X100TAn excellent camera by all means. Ergonomically better and a little faster than the X100S when focusing, but we're talking about a cats whisker here. They've moved the buttons about a bit which takes some time to get used to but not a major thing. Classic Chrome, great, but I'm a raw shooter so if anything I'll do it in PP. I keep thinking that the shot I just took won't be worth a damn but when looking at the file after conversion it's just magic. The files really are very very good. I now know why I like Fuji cameras.
One minus point I have about the camera; AF isn't always correct. I.e. It misfocuses even though the camera thinks it's in focus. Something Fuji are going to have to work on. I can get around that by taking a photo, refocus and take another one. It's a bit annoying though but I can live with it.
The tele converter now lives on my X100S because I like the 50mm FOV. Some might say I'm crazy, but I like it.
More to come from this little gem. 1223

DMC-LX100 Focal Length: 22.7 mm Aperture: f/6.3 Exposure Time: 1/640 sec ISO: 200 04/06/15 Panasonic LX100What I like about this camera is the ability to change format with the little switch nearest the lens and it's the reason I kept my LX5 for so long. I like the ability to switch in an instant and this is what this camera gives me. 1172
